Privacy Policy

Summary
ReConCel works entirely on your iPhone. Your chats, contacts, birthdays, and anniversaries are never sent to us or to anyone else. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking.
What the app stores
When you share a WhatsApp chat export with ReConCel, the app reads it on your device and then deletes it — the chat itself is never kept. From it, the app stores only: the names and phone numbers of chat participants and how many messages each sent, the birthdays and anniversaries it finds, and the wish messages each date was found from (shown on that event). To recognise messages it has already seen when you import the same chat again, it also keeps a one-way fingerprint and the date of each message — never the message text. For Import History, it keeps a record of each import: the chat's name, when you imported it, and counts of what it found — again, no message text. All of this stays in the app's private storage on your iPhone.
What the app does not do
ReConCel does not ask for access to your Contacts, does not read WhatsApp directly (it only sees exports you choose to share), and does not upload any of your data. We run no server and cannot see anything you import.
Update check
The app's only network connection is to Apple's App Store, to check whether a newer version of ReConCel is available. That request contains only the app's identifier and your App Store country — none of your data. Apple's own privacy policy applies to it.
Notifications
Birthday and anniversary reminders are scheduled on your device by iOS. Nothing is sent through a server.
Crash reports
If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in iOS Settings, Apple may send us technical crash reports. These describe where in the app a crash happened and do not include your chats, contacts, or dates. You can turn this off at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
Keeping or deleting your data
Your data stays on your iPhone until you delete the app, which removes everything it stored. You can also delete individual contacts and dates in the app at any time. Like other app data, it may also be included in your own iCloud or computer backups of your iPhone, which are controlled by you and Apple, not by us.
Other people's information
Chat exports contain messages from other people. ReConCel only reads them on your device to find dates, keeps just the birthday and anniversary wishes, and never shares them. Please only import chats you are comfortable having those wishes kept from on your phone.
